The City Plan Commission is expected to hear a zoning request on Thursday that could place a Whataburger near the Garland-Gaston-Grand intersection.

A zoning change application filed in late March seeks to remove deed restrictions on the property at Gaston Avenue and Tucker Street to allow for a drive-thru restaurant.

If approved, Whataburger plans to open a location in spring 2022.

Neighbors who wish to speak at the meeting must register by 5 p.m. Tuesday.
