Nancy Ferro grew up in Casa Linda, and her cousin, Billy Hassell, grew up in Lakewood. Their work is on display in the “Twin Blessings” show at the Bath House, and it explores how art flows within a family; Ferro and Hassell were born to twin parents.

Ferro’s father became an artist after retiring from insurance, doing wood carvings, and her grandfather tooled saddles. She is a sculptor, using beeswax, paint, wood and other found objects in her pieces, while Hassell typically paints animals, plants and nature scenes.

Ferro says she and her cousin grew up visiting the Bath House, back when people could swim at White Rock Lake, and so it seemed like a good place to have a show together.

While Hassell lives in Fort Worth, Ferro says she still lives in our neighborhood, just blocks from the lake.

The show, which features paintings and mixed-media art, is on display at the Bath House until Oct. 1. Admission is free.
