On Friday, Oct. 31, from noon to 1 p.m. at the Chantilly Ballroom in the Hilton Anatole in Dallas, the event will honor 44 of Dallas’ own community change agents, everyday heroes and philanthropic visionaries.

It will raise money for Faith Presbyterian Hospice Caring Fund, which helps the premier hospice provider offer specialized bereavement services for children, innovative programs including pet therapy, massage therapy, and music therapy, as well as benevolent care.

Emmy and Writer’s Guild Award nominated co-producer and writer of three popular television shows, David Hudgins, will be the featured speaker at the event. Hudgins is a Dallas lawyer turned television writer and producer, who began his television career as a writer and co-producer on the WB’s television series Everwood, was co-executive producer on NBC’s multiple Emmy award-winning series Friday Night Lights, and was co-executive producer of the popular show Parenthood for four seasons. Hudgins started the Catherine H. Tuck Foundation to provide assistance to women with breast cancer. His sister, Catherine, passed away from the disease in 2001. The luncheon is chaired by Clare Buie Chaney, PhD, with Barbara Lord Watkins serving as the honorary chair.

Neighbors can help PC&S raise money by attending the luncheon or by making a donation in honor of a loved one. Tickets are available for $150 per person, or individual table sponsorships begin at $1,500 for a table of ten. Contact Chris Patton at 214.316.4575 or by emailing her at cpatton@prescs.org.
