Dallas ISD is home to more than 100 innovation programs. Our schools offer unique and exciting learning opportunities such as P-TECH, Career Institutes, STEAM/STEM, Hybrid, Dual Language, Single Gender, Montessori, Magnet, Talented & Gifted, IB and much more. Our goal is to become a district where every child can find a school that fits their unique interests, learning styles and future aspirations.

I invite families to explore all these options at Virtual Discover Dallas ISD on Saturday, Nov. 6, at 10 a.m. To learn more and register, visit: dallasisd.org/choosedallasisd.

District 2 news…

District 2 is proud of Bryce Gibson, a Hillcrest High School senior who interned this summer in the engineering department at Raytheon, designing a prototype of protective padding that would prevent football players from seriously injuring their ribs. This experience allowed him to visualize his future as an engineer. With athletics, rigorous academics, extracurriculars and even a weekend job, Gibson is a well-rounded student.

Gloria Prieto-Puentes, a Lakewood Elementary dual language teacher, was featured in Dallas ISD’s Hispanic Heritage Month story series.
