Spring is officially here, and District 3 is in full bloom. I am proud to celebrate our extraordinary students, team members and community for all their hard work, commitment, and passion, which paves the way for our students’ future success.

Highlighting District 3

  • Congratulations to the 3005 RoboChargers from Emmet J. Conrad High School as they head to Houston this week for the FIRST Championship after securing the UIL FIRST Robotics State Championship title for the second year in a row!
  • Congratulations to Cristian Gallardo from Sam Tasby Middle School  for winning Teacher of the Year

Pre-K enrollment season is here

The enrollment period for pre-K for the 2023-2024 school year began April 1. Pre-K education provides a strong foundation for your child’s future, equipping them with essential social and emotional skills and boosting their learning potential. We invite you to explore our programs at www.dallasisd.org/prek and take the first step towards a bright educational future for your child.

Welcome to the new Dallas ISD Police Chief

Join me in welcoming Dallas ISD’s new Police Chief, Albert Martinez, who assumed his role last month. With a lifelong dedication to education, he prioritizes safety and security in all schools, aligning with district and state mandates. Building on the groundwork laid by his predecessor, Martinez will stress the importance of collaborating with parents and stakeholders to tackle safety challenges in our schools and create a shared sense of community.

Pledging a path to the future

More than 150 P-TECH students from six schools offering the education pathway assuring them of a teaching job in the district after earning their bachelor’s degree and teaching certifications. Ensuring a paying job even before starting college takes a lot of pressure off our students, knowing that they have a job with at least a $62,000 salary right after graduation from college.

Graduation season is almost here

The 2024 graduation season is almost here! Bryan Adams High School Leadership Academy’s commencement ceremony will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 18. Emmett J. Conrad High School’s commencement ceremony will be held at 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 25. Both events will be at Alfred J. Loos and streamed live. If you are unable to watch a commencement ceremony live, you can find all of the graduation events on the district’s YouTube channel playlist after the live event.
