The Fresh Market Tulsa

The Fresh Market at Arboretum Village closed this past May after about a year and a half in business, but it won’t be vacant much longer.

Three shuttered Fresh Market stores in the Dallas market, including the one in our neighborhood, will become Tom Thumb stores. Albertson’s, the parent company of Tom Thumb, announced Wednesday that it is buying the three Fresh Market stores that closed here in May; the other two are in Turtle Creek and Fort Worth’s University District.

The Dallas Morning News reports that Albertson’s completed the purchase of Tom Thumb at the beginning of this year and “seems to be favoring the Tom Thumb brand in North Texas.”

The former Albertson’s store at Mockingbird and Abrams became a Minyard’s Sun Fresh Market in February 2015. That store closed Sept. 1 and now is set to become an H-E-B Central Market.
