Mockingbird Station and the Dallas Film Society invite you to the Station’s first-ever Dive-In Move Night. Join them on Thursday, Aug. 28 at 8:30 p.m. for a free poolside screening of “Wet Hot American Summer” at The Loft’s rooftop pool in Mockingbird Station. Float in the pool or lounge on the deck and enjoy a hilarious cult classic starring Paul Rudd, Janeane Garofalo, Bradley Cooper, Amy Poehler and Molly Shannon. There is no cost to attend, but there is a $5 donation, and you’ll need to RSVP. All proceeds benefit the Dallas Film Society. Through Aug. 31, the Angelika Film Center will continue its Angelika After Hours series on Friday and Saturday nights at 11:30 p.m. “Blues Brothers,” “The Big Lebowski” and “Kiss Kiss Bang Bang” are just a few of the cult classics in the queue for August.

Through Aug. 31, enjoy floral displays and fun activities at discounted prices at the Dallas Arboretum. Don’t miss $1 general admission for the entire month of August. The beds will be bursting with ageratum, impatiens, petunias, cleome, begonias, salvia, marigolds, lobelia and zinnias. Through Aug. 27, The Creative Arts Center of Dallas is hosting its second exhibit featuring self-taught artists from The Bridge, Dallas’ largest homeless service center. “From the Street” features the work of 15 artists and includes drawings, paintings and jewelry, all of which will be for sale with all proceeds going to the artists. Through Sept. 27, The White Rock Lake Museum in the Bath House Cultural Center presents Refreshing Journey, an exhibition of drawings inspired by White Rock Lake from Dallas artist Jenny Hong DeLaughter.
