  • This Saturday, Jan. 11, St. Matthew’s Cathedral Arts is hosting Voces Intimae eighth annual gala: An Evening with Donnie Ray Albert, which is an exclusive concert featuring Donnie Ray Albert on Baritone and Julian Reed on Piano. There will also be gourmet hors d’oeuvres and wine, plus an extensive silent auction. Tickets are $65. See the website for more details.
  • Fort Worth, Texas-based solo acoustic guitar master Darrin Kobetich is playing at the Bath House Cultural House this Friday. According to the website, he classifies his sound as “ambient delta raga thrash grass.” Tickets are $20.
  • East Dallas jazz musician William Foley is playing at Times Ten Cellars this Sunday, Jan. 12 from 4 to 7 p.m. Not only that, he’ll be bring a “monster cast of musicians” along.
  • If that’s not enough live music for you, A.Dd+ is playing at the Granada on Friday, Jan. 10th. Doors open at 8 p.m. Tickets are $15 – $35 and can be purchased online, where you can also read the bio.
  • A reminder that if you enjoying knitting and would like to knit with friends, the Knit Wits meet at Lakewood Library every Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. Also, every Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. is story hour.
  • For the Love of the Lake is hosting their monthly Second Saturday Shoreline Spruce Up this weekend, Jan. 11. If you’ve never participated, go by the FTLOTL office in Casa Linda Plaza starting at 8 a.m. to collect clean-up supplies. There will be complimentary snacks afterwards, which you can find listed on the website.
