Say "om" — Labor Day, Sept. 8, is the citywide Free Day of Yoga, and there are free classes in the Oak Cliff area all day. At Kessler Park United Methodist Church, Jeff Chandler is teaching a sun salutation class from 6-7 a.m. and a walking yoga class from 7:30-8:30 a.m. At the Unitarian Universalist Church of Oak Cliff, Oak Cliff Yoga is teaching guided meditation from 8-8:45 a.m. and walking meditation from 8-11:30 a.m. They’re also offering a fundamentals of yoga class from 9-10:15 a.m., a prenatal yoga class from 10:30-11:30 a.m., and Tibetan heart yoga from noon-1 p.m. The Trinity River Audubon Center is offering kids’ yoga from 9-9:30 a.m. and 9:30-10 a.m., multi-level power flow from 11-11:30 and 11:30 to noon, energizing fun, fit, flex yoga is from noon to 12:30 p.m., and from 12:30-1 p.m., there is a gentle hatha yoga class for pregnant women, seniors, people recovering from sports injuries and beginners. The center is offering something called "dirt-cheap yoga," which is flavored with humor. The classes start every 30 minutes starting at 1 p.m., and the last class starts at 3:30 p.m. Click here for a complete listing of classes.
