The big thing to do this weekend is eat … and eat — it’s Restaurant Week. Here’s a list of participating spots around town.

Check out the Baker Man at the Dallas Farmer’s Market. We featured him in the August Advocate —see it here. Yesterday, he dropped off some treats at our office — chocolate snickerdoodles and margarita cookies — and they were pure heaven.

The Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge on Arturo Road will serve up slow-cooked barbecue and live “sizzlin’ blues’ music from about a dozen different blues bands from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Admission costs a $10, which will be donated to the Children’s Cancer Fund and the food is extra.
