Mockingbird Point Dog Park renovation
OK now the White Rock Dog Park is opening — for real this time, on Saturday, May 30, after being rained out last weekend. During the grand-opening, expect ceremonies, fanfare and presentations between 10 a.m. and noon. Visit whiterockdogpark.org for the latest updates.

Looking for something to do with the kids this weekend? On June 7, meet Gustafer Yellowgold at Good Records. Few children’s musicians have the crossover success to adult audiences that Gustafer Yellowgold possesses. Yellowgold, an animated yellow alien from the sun, is the creation of songwriter and illustrator Morgan Taylor. He performs “live on the Astroturf” alongside videos of his animated creation. Through July 2, the Dallas Arboretum is hosting its annual concert series. Every Thursday night, the Arboretum hosts a different band on the Martin Rutchik Concert Stage and Lawn. Bring your family and friends and your favorite food and drinks, and enjoy a concert overlooking White Rock Lake.
