You might’ve heard of For the Love of the Lake‘s popular monthly event, the Second Saturday Shoreline Spruce Up, but you probably haven’t heard of the Padillacs.
That’s because the Padillacs are brand new.
The Padillacs are a group of experienced kayakers and canoeists who meet at White Rock Paddle Company during Second Saturday Shoreline Spruce Up. Then For the Love of the Lake supplies them with bags, ties and gloves, and they paddle around the lake scooping up trash the regular crew can’t reach.
Last Saturday was the third time the Padillacs got out on the lake, and they picked up at least 10-20 bags of trash every time (including a random creepy doll).
