The seven-story building, built in 1967 and formerly known as Faulkner Tower, was purchased by Larkspur Capital in the summer of 2019. With Omniplan’s help, Larkspur conceived a top-to-bottom remodel with new electrical, HVAC, elevator and window systems, a resurfaced parking lot, new exterior paint and an updated contemporary lobby.

Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation (TPWF) will be relocating from The Meadows Foundation’s Wilson District on Swiss Avenue.

Different than Texas Wildlife and Parks Department (TWPD), TPWF was founded in 1991. While the TWPD manages state parks, historic sites, wildlife management areas, streams, rivers, lakes and shorelines the TWPF is the official non-profit partner of TPWD, raising private philanthropy to fund transformational projects. Since its inception, TPWF has raised more than $215 million to help fund a wide variety of projects including acquisition of Powderhorn Ranch, 6,100 acres on the Matagorda peninsula and ten miles of frontage along the incomparable Devils River.

TPWF will be the second in size in the building only to Compass. The real estate firm occupies the first, second, third and a portion of the fourth floor. According to Sam Meginnis of Altschuler and Company, leasing agent for Gaston Tower, the TPWF lease and another on the cusp of signature will bring occupancy to 98%.
