An Oak Cliff elementary school is among 206 in Texas named to the 2009 Texas Business and Education Coalition Honor Roll. The award, given to George Peabody Elementary, means that at least 20 percent of the school’s students scored at the "commended" level, which is the highest, on the Texas Assessment of Knowlege and Skills. The group also considers whether a school’s students come from low-income homes.
