The Dallas Police Department is searching for a man who attempted to sexually assault an East Dallas woman over the weekend.
On Feb. 28 at around 2 a.m. the victim was walking from her car to the Swissaire Apartments at 4125 Swiss. At the same time a black male suspect was attempting to enter the locked courtyard to Swissaire.
As the victim walked toward the complex, the suspect approached her on the sidewalk, smiled at her and immediately tackled her. They struggled on the ground, and he attempted to sexually assault her, threatening her with a weapon, but she fought him off while screaming for help. A neighbor heard the cry for help and immediately responded. The suspect fled the location.
The suspect is described as a black male, 5’10’’ in his early 20s. He was wearing denim shorts, a grey hoodie sweatshirt, a black and white back pack, red shoes and possibly glasses.
