The Second Saturday Shoreline Spruce Up brings together residents to clean up White Rock Lake.
There’s no question White Rock Lake is a beloved landmark not just in East Dallas but for all the city. However, with visitors comes the inevitable appearance of litter in and around the lake.
But this Saturday Lakehill Preparatory students and their families will be coming together with other community members to help keep the lake clean. This isn’t any random act of kindness though, it’s all a part of the Second Saturday Shoreline Spruce Up.
This month’s event is the second-to-last of the year and gives residents a chance to help with the clean-up efforts of For the Love of the Lake and Adopt-A-Shoreline groups. It’s a two-hour project that’s been happening since 1996.
This weekend, the Lakehill is coming together with the Upper School Warrior Outreach Organization to clean up the school’s adopted area of the lake.
