The grant was awarded by Whitworth University.

Nick Anderson is painting the mural at the church along Skillman Street, just north of Monticello Avenue. The mural will encourage neighbors to “love one another,” and neighbors are invited to attend the unveiling at 1 p.m. Nov. 7. There will be refreshments and photo opportunities at the outdoor celebration.

In addition to the mural, the church is hosting a series of speakers beginning January 2022. The speakers will be community members who work to promote anti-racism, diversity and inclusion. Leaders of the Lake Highlands Area Moms Against Racism and Lincoln High School dance instructor Iris Wyatt are some of the expected speakers.

St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church is located at 3204 Skillman St.
