The sixth-annual Long City Limits Benefit Concert is on the books.
The J.L. Long Buccaneer Band, which has more than 300 members, hosts the event to fundraise. This year, the band hopes to use the proceeds from the event to pay for their trip to Disney World, where they will get to perform with some of the best musicians in the country and see what it’s like to be a professional musician. Some of the funds will also go toward band equipment and private lessons.
At the event, there will be food trucks, drinks, raffles and live music. Bands performing include Pangea, Los Gran Reyes, MoJo DoLLs and The Squeaky Struts, which is the group to which Long’s band director, Caitlin Schmidt, belongs. Pangea, the headliner, is made of former Long and Woodrow band members.
Long City Limits is scheduled for 1-5 p.m. Nov. 7 at the Samuell Grand Amphitheater.
