If you’re a neighborhood woman or girl interested in learning about how to better protect yourself, this free class at the Lakewood Country Club, 6340 Gaston, could be for you. The Dallas police department has joined with the Lakewood crime watch and the Lakewod neighborhood association to present this 90-minute class. Topics include becoming a "hard target" for criminals, how to avoid becoming a victim and defensive tactics. The class is scheduled March 2 from 7-8:30 p.m.
