Feed your body, feed your mind at Stonewall Jackson Elementary School‘s 3rd Annual Food Truck Field Day this Saturday, March 29, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. There’s a new addition to the event this year: The White Top Book Sale. So, choose a meal from seven Dallas food trucks and pick up some cheap reading material while you’re there. The SMU Mustang Mavericks Dancers will make a guest appearance, and there will be tons of activities for the kids. Wristbands to enter the Food Truck Area will be $5. Sodas and bottled waters will be sold for $1. All proceeds benefit Stonewall Gardens. See the Facebook event page for more.

Also this week, shop at 2 Shea Boutique, at 3246 La Vista, to benefit LEEF. This Wednesday, March 26, from 10 a.m.-6 p.m., and this Saturday, March 29, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. all shoppers will receive 15 percent off all clothing, accessories and skin care. An additional 5 percent of all sales will be donated to LEEF.
Lakewood Elementary and the Lakewood PTA are getting ready for their Spring Carnival in April. The carnival, A Space Odyssey, needs sponsors and donations for on-line auction prizes (see the list of suggested items).
The Diamond Anniversary Celebration and Auction for Stonewall Jackson Elementary School will be May 9 at the Hotel Palomar.
