Lakewood Elementary is hosting the LOLA Art/Service Project, and it’s due March 24. For kids who want to participate, take a nature walk along White Rock waterways and collect litter. Then create a masterpiece with said litter (although other art supplies are okay too as long as they are biodegradable).  Look for more on the website. Also, the deadline for Expressions, Lakewood Elementary’s Literary Magazine, is March 26.

Screen Shot 2014-03-18 at 12.53.57 AMThe countdown has begun for Stonewall Jackson‘s 3rd Annual Food Truck Field Day on March 29, and there’s going to be a new addition to the event this year:  The White Top Book Sale. So Stonewall needs as many books as they can get before then. There’s a bin in the front hall outside the office for donations. All proceeds will benefit Stonewall Gardens.

Lakewood Elementary and the Lakewood PTA are getting ready for their Spring Carnival in April. The carnival, A Space Odyssey, needs sponsors and donations for on-line auction prizes (see the list of suggested items).

Take a class at Pinot’s Palette in Lakewood and benefit Stonewall Jackson Elementary School. ”Paint. Drink. Have fun,” as they say at Pinot’s, and then leave with your own masterpiece. Go online to register a class, and use the code FDSTONE to save $5 on your class and Pinot’s will donate Stonewall Jackson.

The Diamond Anniversary Celebration and Auction for Stonewall Jackson Elementary School will be May 9 at the Hotel Palomar. If you’d like to be a part of the auction team, contact Pennie Marshall at penniemarshall@gmail.com or Kathy Ruff at klruff@sbcglobal.net. Or fill out an Auction Donation Form if you have an item or service that you would like to contribute.
