Santa & DogSanta is coming to town just in time to be a part of your Christmas cards.

The Greyhound Adoption League of Texas (GALT) is hosting Santa at the pop-up store GreytStore Charity Holiday Shoppe, located at 5803 Greenville Avenue between Southwestern and Lovers. On Nov. 21, 22, 27, 28, 29 and Dec. 5 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m, neighbor can take family portraits with Santa or bring their pup for a shot with professional photographer John Hudson. Appointments for portraits can be made online and walk-ins are accommodated.

Coming up in the next couple weeks, Santa Claus will be at the flagship Half Price Books on Northwest Highway. (The same Santa we wrote about in the December magazine last year.) In keeping with Christmastime traditions, Jolly Ol’ Saint Nick will be making appearances starting Nov. 27 through Dec. 20. Go to the website for dates and times. Bring the whole family or the pup for a snapshot with Santa. Also, any food donations will benefit the North Texas Food Bank.

Or, if you want to do something a little different, the Shops at Park Lane has a holiday-themed photo opportunity, and it even comes with a chance to win $500. From Nov. 20 to Dec. 30, throughout the shopping center visitors will find several adult, child Dog Elfie Standand pooch-friendly sized “elfie selfie” stands. Plus a photo opportunity in the community park as the “I” inside the middle of a giant candy striped “B & G” display, in support of the Dallas Convention and Visitors Bureau’s ‘BIG Things Happen Here’ campaign. To be entered to win the $500, share your photo on social media using the hashtag #SelfieWithAnElfie or upload a photo by visiting the ‘Selfie With An Elfie’ tab on The Shops at Park Lane Facebook page, where you can also vote for your favorite. The photo with the most votes will receive a $500 gift card to The Shops at Park Lane. The contest ends Dec. 30. The winner will be announced on or before Jan. 5. Shops at Park Lane is located at the Southeast Corner of Park Lane and Central Expressway at 8080 Park Lane.
