Every Monday for the month of March, Sakhuu Thai Cuisine off Bryan donated 100 percent of their sales and gratuity to Kidd’s Kids, which works to send chronically ill or physically disabled children and their families to Disney World. In March, they raised $7,800.00 through the help of numerous “volunteers” (AKA long-time customers), says Kyla Phomsavanh with Sakhuu.
A representative from Kidd’s Kids told Phomsavanh the money they raised will help send a whole family and part of another family to Disney World. The average cost for Kidd’s Kids to send a family to Disney World is $5,000, she says.
“We have to thank our guests that dined in and supported the cause,” Phomsavanh says. “Some tipped very generously knowing that it all will be going towards Kidd’s Kids. It was a great experience for ourselves and our volunteers. We look forward to doing more charity events in the future.”
