East Dallas neighbor Ryan Berg debuted on NBC’s The Voice this week, delivering a mesmerizing performance of John Mayer’s “Waiting On the World to Change.” Judges Gwen Stefani and John Legend both “turned their chairs” to indicate they wanted to sign Berg on their teams, but Legend was foiled when Stefani punched the “block” button to guarantee he’d pledge “Team Gwen.”

While the judges bantered and evaluated his performance, Blake Shelton noted that he loved Berg’s “straight out of Cavender’s look,” and Berg retorted that he’s “a proud East Dallas boy, for sure.” After the show, the good folks at Cavender’s tagged Berg on their Facebook page and shared video of his performance.

“Blake Shelton knows good style when he sees it,” wrote reps from the 55-year old chain founded in Pittsburg, Texas. “Congratulations to The Voice and East Dallas’ own Ryan Berg on joining Team Gwen! Let us know when you’re ready to hit up one of our Dallas stores!”

You can’t get the t-shirt Gwen Stefani shot Berg when she pledged him to Team Gwen, but you can show some East Dallas love wearing Cavender duds while you’re cheering him on in the battle round. Cavender’s opened a new store at 9390 N. Central Expressway near Dallas ISD headquarters, or you can visit one of their other 85 locations nationwide.
