Rodeo Goat, which was co-founded by Lakewood resident Keith Schlabs, took inspiration from Paramount’s western series Yellowstone for its latest burger battle. Diners can try the Beth Dutton burger or Rip Wheeler; each order counts for one vote, determining which burger moves on to the next round.

The Beth Dutton burger, $16, is made with a bison patty with mustard-cheddar, red wine onions, fennel slaw, bull’s blood microgreens with pistachio on a brioche bun.

The Rip Wheeler, $14, is a coffee-rubbed 44 Farms beef patty topped with smoked gouda, black pepper bacon, Dr Pepper barbecue sauce, curly endive and chuckwagon mayo, served on a brioche bun.

Both burgers are available until Feb. 13 at Rodeo Goat, a new-ish addition to Casa Linda Plaza. It’s at 1200 N. Buckner Boulevard, in the old Highland Park Cafeteria space near Albertsons.

As of publication, the Rip Wheeler, so named for the character played by Cole Hauser, was winning easily with 5,845 votes. In contrast, the Beth Dutton, named for Kelly Reilly’s character, had 2,008 votes.
