Reflecting on my recent Hibiscus experience, the following quote comes to mind:
“I want to have a good body, but not as much as I want dessert.” —Jason Love
Their Baked Dungeness Crab Dip appetizer is exquisite. The Lobster L’Orange is ambrosial. But their desserts are beyond divine. After indulging in a wonderful meal at Hibiscus, be sure to follow up with the pièce de résistance — dessert. Each of their desserts are large enough for a family of four. Or, you could do as I did upon dining with my extended family (mother-in-law included), and eat a Butterscotch Banana Split all by yourself followed by applause from nearby tables. Pretending that didn’t happen … we will move on.
All of the desserts are less than $10, which for their size is quite a decent value. I’d recommend sitting in the front room in a deep booth for dessert and drinks with friends after a night out. Hibiscus offers upscale New American cuisine and is located on Knox/Henderson.
