Yes, they are probably unconstitutional, and yes, the city installed them to raise money as much as to cut accidents, but I can’t help it. I love them. Two or three times last week, I saw drivers actually think about going through a yellow light when making a left turn at Mockingbird and Abrams.

And then, at 12:10 yesterday afternoon, the topper, something I thought would never happen: A red Ford 250 pickup, going north on Mockingbird at Abrams, stopped at a yellow light. Stopped. At a yellow light. I’m still in a state of shock.
