There may be more than water in those puddles after rain this week caused some sewers to overflow.
Dallas received between 3 to 5 inches of rain over the past week, forcing storm water into the city’s wastewater collection system. The city’s water supply has not been affected, according to Dallas Water Utilities Assistant Director Zachary Peoples. Several areas in our neighborhood are part of the Lower White Rock Creek overflow, including at 2208 Winstead, 8000 Barbaree and 8158 Barbaree.
