A proposal to rezone Lower Greenville would require businesses to get a special permit if they wanted to stay open past midnight. The zoning change aims to transform the climate in the East Dallas entertainment district from a rowdy bar scene awash in underage drinkers to a gentler dinner-and-drinks scene.
Council member Angela Hunt has called a public meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 29, at Vickery Towers, where neighbors can discuss the proposal.
