POPgardenPromise of Peace Community Garden, in partnership with Hotel Palomar, is building a new garden this Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon at C. C. Young Retirement Center as a part of P.O.P’s effort to “plant it forward.”

The garden will be located in the back of the Thomas Building between buildings 400 and 600. They will plant a small butterfly garden to inspire, and four container boxes of fresh herbs for snipping. Plus, Palomar is donating a bench so visitors can sit a while.

They will use the money from the “All You Need Is Love Dinner” that was held in February at Central 214, and Chef Graham Dodds of Central 214 will also be serving fresh bites at the planting ceremony.
