Potter Art Metal Studios’ work decorates some of the loveliest homes and most famous landmarks in East Dallas. The 90-year-old company started in East Dallas, and has since moved to the Dallas Design District.
Architects known for their Lakewood homes — Charles Dilbeck and Clifford Hutsell — commissioned potter to design metal stair railings, light fixtures and gates. Potter also designed the light fixtures at White Rock Lake and Fair Park.
The company, which is run by a third generation of the Potter family, recieved a Citation of Honor-Artisan Award from the Texas Society of Architects. The award recognizes Potter’s dedication to architects and architecture and enhancement of the quality of life in Texas.
