Officers in the squad car stopped at a flashing light around 5:30 a.m. in the northbound lane of Yeager Drive. The driver did not yield to cars traveling the other direction and drove into the intersection in an attempt to turn onto Northwest Highway, according to the newspaper.

The police hit a Mitsubishi Outlander traveling east on the highway.

The officers were taken to a local hospital for treatment. The driver of the other car wasn’t injured.
