A Planned Development proposed by Buzz condo project developer Zad Rumayo and Change Chamber Development passed unanimously at a City Plan Commission hearing this week and could go before city council as soon as next month.

"All told, Rumayo sees 250 to 350 apartments, plus 35,000 to 40,000 square feet of retail and office space". Here‘s what else Rumayo told Jeff Siegel last October about his plans for the location.

Back Talk’s Rachel Stone talked to Rumayo yesterday and he told her that it will be "well into 2010 before we have a shot at financing," but that they are getting through the bureaucratic process now so they’ll be ready to go when they get the money.

This is, by the way, the same general area of East Dallas architects dreamed about developing in our "Million Dollar Question" story last April.
