Woodrow Wilson High School band director Chris Walls, who is featured in the April Advocate, is friends with the director of “Do You Hear the People Sing.” This enormous production, which includes Broadway songs, was performed at the American Airlines Center this past Friday.
The director needed a place to rehearse the show while it was in town, and Walls offered the Woodrow auditorium. It was a rare opportunity for Woodrow students to rub elbows with Broadway pros.
