Police said a 20-year-old man was driving north in a 2006 blue Chrysler in the left lane of the three-lane road. The woman began crossing from the east to the west curb while not at a crosswalk. She avoided traffic in the first two lanes but was hit by the Chrysler on its front ride side, officers said.

The driver and three passengers were uninjured, but the woman died at the scene. Police have not identified the victim but said she was about 30 years old.
