The Las Vegas-based bakery Nothing Bundt Cakes — which, as I’m sure you can guess, sells nothing but bundt cakes — has spread across the U.S. from Cali to Florida since it’s inception in 1997. The franchise has several locations in Texas, and even a few around the Dallas area, although the closest to us is Preston Road near the Tollway.
In April we’ll get our very own in Casa Linda Plaza, according to a Nothing Bundt Cakes spokesman. They’ve already put up a sign and started construction in the space next to Starbucks. Coffee and bundt cake? I could go for that.
I’ve never tasted one of said bundt cakes, but while I was trolling the Nothing Bundt Cakes Facebook page for a picture of its product, I saw we have some friends in common. I figure that’s a sure sign that they must be good, right?
The Nothing Bundt Cakes website says its cakes come in many a flavors, such as chocolate chocolate chip, pecan praline, lemon, white white chocolate, white chocolate raspberry, red velvet and carrot to name a few.
They call the signature icing design “petals,” (although at first glance, it looks suspiciously like a baby squid… or a giant spider), and it’s made of pure cream cheese and butter, so it’s gotta be “nothing bundt” tooth-numbingly delicious.
