A new indie film adaptation of the Nathaniel Hawthorne classic “The Scarlet Letter” features East Dallas neighbor Mark Rios as Governor Bellingham. Rios says the “faithful indie film adaptation” of the book was shot in Massachusetts and Vermont.
Next month, Rios will host the first public screening of the new film at The Angelika at 5321 E Mockingbird.
The showing will be held on Sept. 21 at 7:30 p.m. If there is enough interest, a second showing will be added on Sept. 22.
