A Dallas Children’s Theater-trained student, neighborhood resident Caroline Horn, briefly appears in the new movie "Skateland" debuting Monday at Robert Redford’s Sundance Film Festival. Caroline is the daughter of Shawne Horn, a former Woodrow Wilson teacher who now works at Parkland in the development department. The film, about a 1983 East Texas roller skating rink and the issues of "coming of age", features all kinds of big hair and 1980s fashions. It was written by an Uptown guy, Brandon Freeman, and features Ashley Greene from "Twilight" — check out her website if you want to see pictures of the starlet and her small dog.
