N9NE Steakhouse in Victory Park has closed.
And now, the full disclosure on how I know this:
My husband is the General Manager at Kenichi, a sushi spot in Victory below the W Hotel. Last night several N9NE staffers stopped in, possibly to drown their sorrows in sake … possibly job seeking … that, I don’t know. They told him that just following the dinner shift, they learned the restaurant would not reopen and that they were out of a job.
While this news is indeed hearsay, I have no reason to doubt it’s true.
Last summer in our ‘chefs at home’ story (yeah, here’s the East Dallas tie in) we introduced you to then-executive chef at N9NE, Chris Conlon. Conlon has since gotten the heck out of Dodge, moving to Snowmass, CO where he recently opened N9NE Steakhouse owners’ new concept, Junk.
