It appears a man who committed a handful of petty crimes around town, including a “$100 White Rock robbery” and a $25 candy heist from an Eckerd’s-turned-CVS, is making amends by way of a cashier’s check to Dallas Episcopal Church of the Resurrection.

Church staffers say the $3,268 check from a man known simply as ‘Michael’ (they won’t say his last name) was desperately needed. A note left by ‘Michael’ listed his offenses and indicated that he paid all his debts directly to the best of his ability, but that the check was to make up for the ones he could not locate.
