Five 54 Clothing, a women’s clothing store created in Mississippi, has expanded to Dallas.
Open daily, the store offers clothing and accessories for women of a variety of ages, supplying wardrobe staples and statement pieces alike, said co-owner Anna Williams.
The company was founded by Anna and her twin sister, Allison, who come from a family of business owners. Their mom’s family has operated a furniture store for about 75 years.
“We have always been really interested in fashion, and it’s always been a big part of our lives,” Anna said. “We’re big shoppers.”
After graduating from Ole Miss in May 2021, the sisters moved back home. They purchased some items in Dallas and by October had opened Five 54 Clothing in Hazlehurst, Mississippi. The store, named after their grandmother’s street address, celebrated one year in business in October 2022.
They weren’t expecting to open a second store so soon, but the sisters wanted a change. They visited Dallas and were attracted to Lowest Greenville because of its foot traffic and community feel, Anna said.
The space, formerly Gold Aura Life Spa, needed renovations. A white floor, a fresh coat of paint and dressing rooms were added.
“It took a minute because we were back and forth between here and Mississippi and wanted it to look a certain way,” Anna said. “We had to pass, obviously, inspections with the city, too, but I think we are happy with the way it turned out.”
Five 54 Clothing is open 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday at 1906 Greenville Ave., next to Clark’s Barbershop.
