Update: The Rodriguez family told a local news station that Kaylin is the same girl in the North Carolina abduction case. She was found in a shed on the property of Jorge Camacho, 34, who is facing several felony charges and is in a North Carolina jail. FBI said the man convinced her, by way of video game chats, to leave her home with him.

Thirteen-year-old Kaylin Rodriguez has been located, according to her family members.

About two weeks ago they reported her missing from her East Dallas apartment and were posting flyers all over town.

In a public Facebook post, Irene Rodriguez wrote that “FBI, Dallas Police and the whole community worked vigilantly to help us bring our niece home.”

According to Irene, the case is developing and “arrests have been made.”

We’ve reached out to Irene with an interview request.

Meanwhile, police in North Carolina arrested a man for abducting a 13-year-old girl from Dallas, Texas.

Jorge Camacho, 34, is facing several felony charges and is in a North Carolina jail. The girl in question was reunited with her family in Dallas.

According to news station WSOC, “The FBI discovered the teen had been communicating with her alleged abductor through social media beforehand. Investigators said the chats were ‘consistent with grooming and enticement,’ and said Camacho reportedly convinced the teen to leave her home.”

Although there is speculation on social media that the cases are related, the Advocate has not confirmed that.

Kaylin is a minor, so even if the case does involve her, her name would not be included in police reports.

Irene, in her thanks, included Versa Printing for supplying them with the “missing” posters and whose employees helped in the search.

“Thank you to all the volunteers who helped pass out flyers and help us get the exposure we needed to help in our search,” she noted on Facebook.
