Ever wanted to try a pink squirrel? How about a sloe gin rickey? If so, there’s a kooky cocktail club out there for you. And that club, Ladies United for the Preservation of Endangered Cocktails DFW chapter, is having a holiday benefit party at the Balcony Club Friday.
The club is collecting donations for local women’s shelters, including new soap, shampoo, deoderant and other toiletries. The party features a jazz band and burlesque dancers, and it starts at 7:30 p.m.
If you go, call it a LUPEC meeting because that sounds better than saying, "Honey, I’m going out to my drinking club now."
