In a tribute to his “Wonder Boy” nickname, the mural by House of Pannek shows Doncic with a flowing green superhero cape.

The Slovenian in his second season with the Mavs certainly seems to have supernatural abilities on the court. He’s averaging 28.5 points, 10.7 rebounds and 9.1 assists a game this season, according to the Dallas Morning News.

Artist Preston Pannek utilized Mavs colors green and blue. The colors were also incorporated into this year’s “city” uniforms, which allow teams to create a look inspired by the community. The jerseys were inspired by the bright street art in Deep Ellum, but they’ve drawn criticism online for their goofy appearance.

“I’ve watched basketball my entire life, and I’ve never seen anything like this guy,” Pannek told Sports Illustrated. “I wanted to make sure that we showed him as much respect and love as he has shown our city.”

Check out the mural on the side of St. Pete’s Dancing Marlin at the intersection of Commerce and Crowdus streets.

Keep an eye out for Kristaps Porzingis art coming soon.
