  • On Friday during the homecoming game, the Lakewood Early Childhood PTA presented a check for $15,000 to Woodrow’s PTA president Randy Patterson. This year’s LECPTA president Kim Sinnott and last year’s president Nikki Jordan, along with their three kiddos, presented the check. LECPTA hosts the annual Lakewood Home Festival every year, which benefits Lakewood Elementary, J.L. Long Middle School and Woodrow Wilson High School. Last year, the group raised close to $150,000, and $15,000 of that went to Woodrow. This year’s Lakewood Home Festival will take place Nov. 8-10. Go to the website for more information on purchasing tickets, as well as for how you can support this event by volunteering. The festival needs about 500 volunteers to put on the event every year, and they are still looking for volunteers.
