streetThe city is going to fix my street. Who even knew it needed fixing?

Technically, says the card left on my front door yesterday, crews will spend the next two months “repairing base failures and laying a new surface.” Given the pothole-rich  quality of so many roads in town, doing mine seems odd. It’s only a couple of blocks long and there don’t seem to be any potholes or similar problems. And, given how little work appears to be needed, why should it take two months?

The other thing that worries me? City crews are already six months behind schedule on a major road and sewer job in my neighborhood, near Ridgewood Park on Fisher. That has been torn up for almost two years, and it doesn’t inspire confidence that mine will be done on schedule.
