Later this week, the City Council will consider extending stage 1 watering restrictions through June 7 (they’re set to expire on Feb. 7). It’s mostly voluntary stuff, and we’re not as bad off as our neighbors in the north suburbs, who are in stage 3 — watering allowed only on certain days, no watering on weekends, and the like.
Has anyone received a citation for violating stage 1? Did you pay it? Will anyone speak at Wednesday’s council meeting and bring a clip of last week’s Houston Chronicle story about what global warming is supposed to do to North Texas? Might be a touch more difficult to water the grass in 50 or 60 years.
