Traffic patterns are changing at Gaston-Garland-Grand this week.
Lane closures and traffic shifts on north and southbound Garland Road/Grand Avenue are expected to last from 7 p.m. April 12 to 6 a.m. April 13, weather permitting, according to a news release from Texas Department of Transportation. Delays can be expected.
After 6 a.m. Thursday, all lanes on State Highway 78 aka Garland Road/Grand Avenue will be in a new configuration. Traffic will move from the northbound bridge to the southbound bridge, with two lanes of SH 78 open in each direction.
There will also be a new access point for vehicles entering Gaston Avenue from southbound SH 78.
Changes will also be made to timing of traffic signals; there may be short durations of flashing red lights, and drivers should be prepared to stop when directed.
