One person is dead after a single-car crash near White Rock Lake.
Dallas police responded to the crash near Garland Road and Breezewood Lane around 10:20 a.m. Tuesday. The preliminary investigation determined that one person, who has not yet been identified, died in the crash, police say.
Roads were closed, but they have since been opened. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
Neighbors have called for changes following multiple accidents along Garland Road, which is a state highway.
Last month, Channel 5 reported that a 22-year-old was driving drunk when she crashed into the back of a SUV stopped at the light at Garland Road and Lakeland Drive, just north of where the April 11 crash occurred, near the Dallas Arboretum. Four people inside the SUV, which flipped upside down because of the force of the crash, were taken to the hospital, along with the 22-year-old, Arianna Alvarez.
