Lane closures are planned for the Gaston-Garland-Grand intersection starting tonight, according to the Texas Department of Transportation.
The traffic changes will go into effect, weather permitting, on east and westbound Garland Road/Grand Avenue and on east and westbound Gaston Avenue starting at 9 p.m. March 16. Lanes will be restored around 6 a.m. March 17.
Along with the lane closures, TxDOT is warning drivers about delays around the area and asking them to pay attention to crews and equipment in the corridor.
After 6 a.m. Thursday, drivers should pay attention to traffic shifts at the intersection. Gaston Avenue will be narrowed to one lane of traffic for each direction.
This is part of the ongoing $6.3 million project to reconfigure 3G, which is expected to be completed in spring 2023.
